Festival of Saint-Céré & Festival of Haut-Quercy
The Festival of Haut-Quercy and the Festival of Saint-Céré have decided to join forces to propose a common program. By comparing the specific art styles and the geographical reach of both festivals, one realises how complementary they are : sacred music for one and opera for the other, their joint events spreading accross the entire Dordogne Valley.
This union results in a new name for the festival: « Festival de Saint-Céré et du Haut-Quercy ». A new winter program has been created in December 2008 to present a mixture of opera, cabaret , jazz and burlesque until the beginning of June.
Festival du Conte (tale festival) Association "Arcade"

« Once upon a time, a young guild from Bretenoux, created in the last century, used to go out on Whitsun week-ends and organize book festivals in a beautiful town . In the new millenium, it sought new horizons. This is when, in April 2001, it met Prince Charming. From Gagnac to Castelnau, the whole "Communauté des Communes entre Cère et Dordogne" witnessed this budding love affair between Festival du Conte (tale festival), a fearless man afraid of no word, and Dynamic Arcade". (text by Pierre Fauré)
The Arcade guild pusues its goal and proposes exciting seasons filled with exhibitions, themed shows, conferences, and of course the tale festival during whitsun holidays.
Festival du Film Engagé (involved film festival)

The organization La Parole et le Geste (Word & gesture) puts this festival on in Autumn, with the help of the "Communauté de Communes" and the Office of Tourism of Bretenoux. Each year, the festival revolves around a theme which is debated.
Programs are available at the Tourism Office.

Festival Art’Zimut Association "Arzimut"

Art’zimu goes beyond the quality of dancing, mixing genders, creating cultural meetings, forcing discovery. A multitude of events happen from morning to night: classes during the day (Hip-hop, tango, salsa, flamenco…but also discovering nature on tree-top trails, getting initiated to circus arts, learning to write, to play in bands…) and creating special evening meetings.
It not only proposes shows to enjoy, but also creates a week-long cultural environment in various places where the public becomes the lead actor.
Looking for emotion….. first week in August, for young and mature alike.
